Art History and Photography Instructor
BTW Room 139
My name is Elliott Fisher, and I teach Intro Art, Photography, AP 2D Studio, and AP Art History at Dr. Booker T. Washington High School Academy of the Arts. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Old Dominion University in Printmaking and Photographic Media with a minor in Art History, as well as a Master of Arts from Azusa Pacific University in Modern Art History, Theory and Criticism. In my Photography classes we start with basic composition and build an understanding of light sensitive material such as film. We continue to develop the skills and delve into film manipulation, digital photography, digital manipulation, and a sense of unity and storytelling through images. As a practicing, professional photographer, I work to make sure my students are prepared for a highly competitive career in photography. I love photography. There are few artistic media that allow the artist to capture honest and unaltered realities and create stories through images. I am ecstatic to teach the upcoming generation of photographers the skills and techniques to create incredible images and tell engaging stories.
