Mrs. Letisha Lawrence, Principal

Mrs. Letisha Lawrence, a proud military child and spouse, is excited to join the Northside Middle School Family. Mrs. Lawrence has served as an assistant principal, dean of students, department chair for History/Social Science, team leader and teacher at the middle and high school levels within Norfolk Public Schools. Mrs. Lawrence is passionate about encouraging civic participation and supporting the social, emotional, and academic success of all children. Educating the whole child.
 
Mrs. Lawrence earned her Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina Central University, Masters Degree in School Administration and Supervision and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Education Specialist/School Administration from Cambridge College. Mrs. Lawrence completed the School-University Research Network (SURN) Principal Academy at the College of William & Mary.

Mr. Robert Bailey, Assistant Principal

Mr. Rob Bailey is entering his 11th year of service in Norfolk Public Schools.  Prior to serving as the Assistant Principal at Northside he served as a Dean of Students, Team Leader, PBIS Coach, and Health and Physical Education Teacher.   Mr. Bailey believes that education is essential to equal opportunity and must provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be productive citizens.  It is his goal to develop purposeful relationships with students, staff, and the community.  

Mr. Bailey received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in School Leadership and Administration from Old Dominion University.
