Mrs. Angela Grimsley is a new Dean of Students at Northside Middle School.  She is an alumna of North Carolina A&T State University, Norfolk State University and Regent University.  She has taught DRED, Health and Physical Education for 23 years and she has experience coaching several sports.  She has worked in the education realm in North Carolina, Georgia and for Norfolk Public Schools.

Mrs. Grimsley is passionate about supporting and helping students achieve their absolute best. She is eager to motivate and inspire students to succeed and stay in school. She is also committed to building relationships and partnerships that promote a culture that will ensure that ALL reach their full potential. 

Shayna Hart is a proud product of Norfolk Public Schools.  She attended Mary Calcott Elementary, Northside Middle School, and is a graduate of Granby High School.  After high school, she attended Randolph-Macon College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in History with minors in writing and philosophy.  She later attended Old Dominion University, where she received her Masters in Educational Leadership.  Mrs. Hart began teaching at Northside in 2004 and remained in the classroom until 2015, when she was promoted to Dean of Students.    She currently serves as Dean to all of Northside.
