• Color House

Our school supports a positive school climate for all students. Color House is celebrated on the third Thursday of the month. Students are assigned to 1 of 6 houses. The houses are designed to build school spirit, encourage collaboration across different grade levels, and motivate positive behavior through healthy competition.

    Color House offers-

    • Culturally Sustaining Programs: This involves a read aloud, theme lesson, a character trait vocabulary, a dance off, games and fun activities centered around a culturally relevant curriculum, and strategic planning to support all students.
    • Relatable Role Models: Everyone is included.
    • Bridging Opportunity Gaps: Building strong partnerships with families and communities.
    • Advocacy and Systemic Change: School environment to create an equitable climate for all students.
    • Narrative Therapy: Help students transform stories into empowering personal narratives, fostering resilience and productivity.

In essence, "Color House" highlights the importance of diversity, inclusivity, and cultural understanding to effectively support and advocate for the unique needs of all students.
