Hello! My name is Sharon Brown, and I have always loved school! I grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. I graduated from Norview High School and anyone attending school with me will tell you that I have always loved and participated in sports. I was always outside growing up. I used to ride my bicycle from one side of Norfolk to downtown. I still have the same best friend from elementary school. I went to several colleges in Virginia, and I spent most of my career in the field of Criminal Justice and Education.

I started as a K-12 teacher for three decades and finally landed a job as a School Counselor. I started working at Norview Elementary as a School Counselor in 2023. I love working at Norview Elementary because many of the students at Norview are friendly, smart, and love school.

I received a Bachelor of Art in Sociology with an emphasis in Elementary Education and Criminal Justice. I have a Master of Science in Adult Education with an emphasis in Human Services. I also have a Master of Science in Administration and a Master of Art in Professional School Counseling in K-12.

I love spending time with my family, especially my son “BJ” and my great-nephew “Billie the Kid!” I love being outside, traveling, reading a good book, shopping, and eating at a nice restaurant and drinking coffee or tea.
