• Practice these basic steps as a best practice:

    • You are responsible for bringing your device to school every day that you report to school.

    • Restart your iPad every day.

    • Clear your cache after school.

    • If you borrowed a school device for the day, don't forget to log out of all applications (Canvas, Google, Google Classroom, Class Dojo, etc.) before returning the device to your teacher.

    • Do not eat or drink around your NPS-issued device.

    • Wash hands after eating to keep the keyboard, touchpad, and computer screen free of grease and gunk.

    • Charge the iPad every night. This is very important to avoid borrowing a device that you are not familiar with.

    • Connect your device to its charger if the power level falls below 20%

    • Treat the device with care, avoid extreme heat or cold, liquids, putting any weight on the screen, and dropping/tossing the device.

    • Be careful of earphones as the wires  are delicate and can break very easily near the connector

    • Restart your Mi-Fi or HotSpot weekly

      • Try to avoid using the microwave during school hours as it can disrupt the Mi-Fi or HotSpot's signal

      • If the Mi-Fi or network is slow or unresponsive, unplug it, take the back off and press the reset button. Power it back on again.

      • It is a good practice to unplug the Mi-Fi or HotSpot from the charger when it is not in use to keep the battery from swelling and exploding.
