Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year at Ghent School. Although we are starting virtually this year and that can be a little daunting, we are gearing up for an amazing school year.

My name is Charlotte Davis and I am the ITRT - the Instructional Technology Resource Teacher. This is the beginning of my 28th year in Norfolk Public Schools. I spent 12 years as a Middle school teacher, then 12 years as an elementary Library Media Specialist, and this is my fourth year as an ITRT.

I assist teachers when they are working to introduce a new technology or program. That can include help with training and help when they are ready to present it with their students. I am not the person who repairs the computers and technology but I can offer training and support for almost any program that staff or students might be asked to use. If I can't explain it, I will find someone who can...so I can learn too!

This year, we are also considering some 'parent' and 'community' training sessions. This will give the adults supporting our students a quick introduction to the different tools that your students might be expected to use in their classes.
