I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Jacox Elementary School. This appointment is especially meaningful to me, as my journey in education began right here at Jacox 20 years ago when I served as a volunteer. Returning now as your principal feels like coming full circle, and I am deeply committed to serving this vibrant community that has played such a pivotal role in my life. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is empowered to reach their full potential. I believe that education is a collaborative effort between the school, families, and the community, and I am eager to work alongside each of you to support our students' academic and personal growth.

I have 26 years experience as an educator and 22 years in Norfolk Public Schools. I have had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach, and assistant principal in the United States and abroad. 

I graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Hampton University and have advanced degrees from Norfolk State University and Old Dominion University. 

I am pleased to serve as the assistant principal at Jacox Elementary School. My goals are to support teaching and learning and to create community connections.
